Greetings to all aggravators, admirers, and aspiring adventurers!
My name is ATLAS THE BARD and I have set off upon a journey to venture through the dangerous lands of Arancis to tell tales of the soldiers of the Coalition. Inspired by their bravery, boldness, and bloodlust, I have decided to fight House Blakka’s campaigns of propaganda and censorship by wielding the mighty pen and heralding the stories of the heroes to the oppressed everywhere. If you, my dear reader, are reading this message, then I am heartened to hear my plans are succeeding.
I recently caught up with these soldiers of the Coalition, colloquially known as “the PC party” in a small tavern in the South Bowers.

Upon talking to members of this PC party, I learned some rather tragic information: the majority of the party are orphans, found wandering the lands with no recollection of their pasts and where they may have come from. One mentioned something about having died and then fled the scene before I could ask further questions. Others confessed that they have never learned to read. What drives children to take the fate of the region upon their shoulders? I commend the heroics of these children, and applaud all they have done to keep the realm safe. I merely wish there was a safer world for them to grow up in.

At this Guild Night, the sounds of celebration rang through the air – as well as my lilting melodies – as the party celebrated their recent win against the Coltar Spawn of Consumption, who had been terrorizing the Bowers and halting further progress in the fight against House Blakka. Though celebration was on the minds of the party, the mood very quickly turned to further planning. The dangerous forces of the Black Lodge entered the tavern, and the mood darkened considerably. Previously, the party had gone against a deal struck with the Black Lodge in order to save a victim of their schemes. Now, it seems the piper had come to collect. After some careful negotiating from PC party leader Nemen, the Black Lodge decided to forgive the party of their betrayal… in exchange for increased presence in the region.

Additionally, although Consumption had been dealt with, food supplies from the fishing village of Tohani had been growing scarce. Coalition scouts reported that people weren’t working, farming, fishing… anything. The party quickly deduced that this was likely the work of the Coltar Spawns of Apathy and Despair causing people to become — for lack of better terms — apathetic and despairing. Fearing for the food supply of the Bowers, the party rallied to embark towards Tohani where they will face Apathy and Despair and attempt to defeat them once and for all.
Let us all hope that they succeed in defeating Apathy and Despair, or it will be a very hungry winter indeed. I intend to follow the party, collecting stories of their heroics and composing ballads of their noble (or not-so-noble) deeds. Stay safe, my friends, and remember: Fight together, or die alone.
