HOSTED BY LARP ADVENTURE PROGRAM AT WALDORF SCHOOL AT MORAINE FARM
Step into a world where imagination becomes reality, nature is the classroom, and every child is a hero on a growth journey. Designed in harmony with Waldorf education’s core values of wonder, reverence for nature, and whole-child development, this weekly after-school program offers a unique fusion of Live Action Role Play (LARP), collaborative storytelling, Dungeons & Dragons-inspired adventures, and social-emotional learning.
Through immersive, character-driven experiences guided by trained educators from the award-winning LARP Adventure Program (as seen on Chronicle 5 Boston), students will:
- Embark on epic quests through the forest and fields of Moraine Farm, using the natural world as both setting and inspiration.
- Develop original characters and stories through structured, cooperative play rooted in mythology, ethics, and emotional intelligence.
- Face challenges that foster perseverance, teamwork, and confidence-building, what we call “grit through play.”
- Learn to navigate group dynamics, practice conflict resolution, and reflect on their roles as heroes in fantasy and real life.
Whether forging alliances, solving riddles, or negotiating peace between fantasy kingdoms, children gain tools for real-world leadership and empathy—all while having a blast.
Dates: 01/13, 01/20, 01/27, 02/03, 02/10, 02/24, 03/03, 03/10, 03/17 (No class 2/17)
