Safety & Supervision
Within Etheraz, every young hero journeys under the watchful guidance of seasoned mentors.
Our team of trained educators weaves storytelling and structure into every adventure. Each member is First Aid and CPR certified and has passed CORI background checks, creating a safe haven where participants can explore, learn, and thrive.

The land surrounding the castle is open to the public during daylight hours.
Parking & Walking Directions:
- Limited parking is available along Route 40. Additional parking is available at Gibbet Hill Grill.
- If you park at the grill, please follow the designated path that begins to the right of the buildings (when facing them from the parking lot). This path connects to the same trail that runs past the Route 40 parking area and leads directly toward the castle grounds.
- Please note that Bancroft’s Castle is approximately a half-mile walk from the Gibbet Hill Grill parking lot.
- We will have greeters stationed at the trailhead to welcome families and guide you to the event area.
LARP Details:
- Release forms are required for all participants. Once you RSVP, we will send you a link to sign the forms online so the event drop-off can be quick and easy.
- Costumes are encouraged but not required.
- Our staff will perform safety checks on any boffers (foam swords) brought from home. We check things like the length, thickness of foam, and flexibility. If a child’s personal boffer doesn’t meet our guidelines, we will have plenty of boffers on hand to loan out.
