How do I purchase a membership?
Please visit this page to purchase a membership: https://larpadventureprogram.com/product/youth-membership/
Are there coupons or free trials for memberships?
Yes!
- For returning members: Prior to membership expiration dates our system will send out a coupon code for $25.00 off the renewal price.
- For new members: We offer a free 30-day trial membership for kids interested in trying out our programming. Please contact our office for details.
Why don’t I get instant access after purchasing a membership?
To keep our community safe, we manually review each membership order before granting access to members-only pages. This helps us ensure that every new member is a real person genuinely interested in our programming, not bots or unrelated accounts.
Because of this process, it may take up to 48 hours for your access to be activated.
Is membership required for kids?
Unless otherwise stated, membership is required for anyone under 17 years of age who would like to participate in our weekend events or independent camps and classes.
Membership is not required for participation in programs hosted by one of our community partners.
I have two kids. Do they both need memberships?
Yes, each child needs their own independent membership as they will each have their own character sheet and other related resources.
Is membership required for adults?
At this time we are not running events for adults and therefore membership is not required for adults.
Does my child need their own email account to access the digital tools?
It is not required but it is highly recommended.
Is participation in the chat groups required?
Participation in the chat groups is not required; however, it is a great place for players to stay in touch between events, ask questions, and get sneak peeks at what is coming in future events.
Why is there a membership fee?
At LARP Adventure Program, our annual membership fee helps ensure a safe, high-quality, and supportive environment for every participant.
Membership fees directly support:
- Access to a secure member portal for event sign-ups and account management
- Real-time programming updates and community news
- Classroom resources, learning tools, and materials
- Safe communication channels with our staff and teachers
- Family discounts and accessibility programs for those in need
- Basic operations like website security, insurance, and administrative support
Running as a private membership organization also allows us to:
- Create an extra layer of privacy and protection for your child’s participation
- Maintain a closed community where staff, students, and families are verified
- Ensure a higher standard of consent, safety, and respect across all programs
- Keep programming focused on growth, creativity, and leadership development rather than public enrollment pressures
Your membership isn’t just a fee — it’s an investment in a trusted, caring, and vibrant community where your child can learn, lead, and thrive.
Where do membership fees go?
Here is a breakdown of how every membership dollar is invested:
- Digital Tools: Registration systems, online forms, communications platforms
- Membership Services: Emails, classroom access, program updates, event communications
- Website Hosting & Membership Portal: Secure site for sign-ups, account management, and updates
- Administrative Overhead: Security updates, administrative staffing, basic operations
- Family Support Discounts: Sliding scale membership rates to support accessibility
- Taxes: State and federal costs
- Credit Card Processing Fees: Standard payment processing expenses

Why was the membership fee raised in July 2025?
Over the years, many families have asked us to improve the ways we communicate, register for events, and provide access to learning materials. We listened — and we’re proud of the improvements we’ve made together.
From easier online event registration, real-time programming updates, and better communication tools to new classroom resources, we’ve invested significantly in building a more accessible, responsive, and supportive experience for all our families.
These improvements come with ongoing costs, including platforms like Airtable, Zapier, G Suite, website hosting, and membership service tools, which allow us to operate smoothly and effectively.
After reviewing our finances this winter we learned that in 2024, membership fees nearly covered the basic operating costs — but, as you’ll see below, we didn’t meet that goal.
In 2024, we had 50 active memberships, bringing in $4,175.00 in gross income after family support discounts (full value: $5,000.00).
It costs at least $4,559.07 per year to operate the membership program — and this number only covers basic needs (not future growth or unexpected expenses).
Here’s how every membership dollar was invested in 2024:
🔵 29.5% — Digital Tools
(Registration systems, online forms, communications platforms)
🟢 29.0% — Membership Services
(Emails, classroom access, program updates, event communications)
🟣 15.7% — Website Hosting & Membership Portal
(Secure site for sign-ups, account management, and updates)
